48ft Cruiser style narrow boat. Steelwork by Springer. Fully refurbished in 2007 with a reverse lay-out. Powered by a Bukh 20hp, 2 cylinder, marine diesel engine.

A recently refurbished and very well maintained boat, built to a very high specification for its length and age. This boat even has a bow thrusters which is very rare on boats of this length, aiding navigation of the most tricky of waterways. An ideal boat for a first time liveaboard or cruising at leisure.

The Interior Boat Plan

From the Bow

From the bow which houses the integral water tank there is a 3’ 8” open self draining well deck. There are steel locker/seats to either side of the well deck and an access hatch to the bow-thruster. The headlamp is mounted on the front bulkhead.

Generic fixtures and fittings

The ceilings are lined with Pine tongue and groove which has been painted white. Cabin sides and hull sides are lined with Pine tongue and groove. All the interior wood has been varnished to a gloss finish. There are either Roman blinds or Venetian blinds to all windows.

Bedroom 8’ 2”

Hardwood, 1/2 glazed stable style front door opens out onto the front deck from the bedroom. Furniture: 4’ x 6’3” fixed double bed with waste and secondary water tank beneath. 1 x full height wardrobe. 2 x under gunwale cupboards. Other Features: 1 x drop down single bed. Lighting: 2 x windows with top hopper style opening vents. 1 x 12v, ceiling mounted, fluorescent strip light. 1 x 12v, domed ceiling light. 2 x 12v wall lights. Heating: Blown hot air. Flooring: Carpet.

Bathroom 6’x 4’

The cabin bathroom is lined with stone effect laminate panels and a beige suite comprising: Suite: 4’ bath with shower attachment and a patterned shower curtain. Vanity unit with integral wash basin, mixer tap and a cupboard beneath. Porta-Potti toilet. There is plumbing and a waste tank fitted if conversion to a pump-out toilet is required. Wall mounted mirror. Medicine cabinet. Lighting: 1 x window with top hopper opening vent and privacy glass and a further window in the corridor. 1 x 12v, wall light. Power: 1 x shaver point. Flooring: Ceramic floor tiles.

Galley 9’ 5”

The galley has custom built units in Pine. Worktops are granite effect melamine with ceramic tiled splash-backs. Base units: 1 x double cupboard beneath the sink that has a drawer above. 3 x low level cupboards with tiled worktop. 1 x large cubby hole. Cooker space. Fridge housing. Wall Units: 1 x double wall cupboard. Appliances: Stoves, DIT 500, slot-in gas cooker with separate oven and grill and a glazed lid/splash-back. 12v fridge with ice box. Paloma, gas fired instant water heater. Stainless steel sink and drainer with chrome taps. Lighting: 2 x large windows with top hopper style opening vents. 2 x 12v, ceiling mounted, fluorescent strip lights. Power: 2 x 240v sockets. Flooring: Tile effect laminate.

Saloon 11’ 10”

The open plan saloon has steps that lead up to the cruiser deck. Fixed Furniture: 1 x half height corner cabinet. Electrical cupboard with one drawer. Loose Furniture: Large leather sofa with matching footstool. Other Features: 12v Flat screen TV with DVD and Digibox. Built in stereo radio/cd player. Heating: Cast iron solid fuel stove set on a ceramic tiled hearth and surround. (Please the note the stove has a back boiler but is not connected to the heating) Lighting: 4 x windows with top hopper style opening vents. 4 x 12v, wall lights. Power: 2 x 240v sockets. Flooring: Oak effect laminate.

Cruiser & Stern 8’ 2”

Steel rear doors wood lined internally with sliding roof hatch lead onto the cruiser deck where there are access panels to the engine and batteries. There is a low level steel gas locker/seat to the port side. Other Features: Steel hand rail. Controls: The column mounted single lever engine control is on the starboard side. Flooring: Wooden deck boards.

Port side: 5 x windows with top hopper style vents.

GAS
2 x 13kg Propane cylinders housed in the stern locker provide gas to the cooker and gas fired water heater. Gas safety system fitted.

WATER
Integral water tank located in the bow with additional water tank beneath the bed. Water pump with pressure switch is located under the bed. Water is heated by the Paloma gas fired instant water heater.

HEATING
Heating is provided by the cast iron solid fuel stove in the lounge and the Eberspacher diesel fired boiler running blown air heating to the bedroom.

240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
1 x 12v, engine driven alternator.
1 x 12v, engine start battery.
2 x 12v, deep cycle leisure batteries.

EXTERIOR FINISH
The boat was last docked for hull blacking in July 2007. There are 2 anodes protecting the hull.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS OF INVENTORY
The boat comes equipped with a normal cruising inventory including a full set of ropes and fenders. Any additional items not listed must be negotiated separately with the owner.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Bukh 20hp, 2 cylinder, marine diesel engine coupled to a Bukh gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers a 12v alternator to charge the start battery and the leisure batteries.
