50ft Trad Stern Narrowboat £29,995

Noah and his Wife is a classic 50ft 3 berth narrow boat by Colecraft was built in 1984. She has well laid out and versatile 3 berth accommodation that could easily be converted to 4 berths and has been well loved and cared for by the current owners. She was last out of the water for blacking in April 2021. The BSSC expires in April 2026. She would make a versatile starter boat for cruising holidays, or as a compact live-aboard. Background

Quality 6/4/3 mm steelwork by Colecraft with additional 6mm plating to the base with side doors and a trad-stern. High quality fit-out in solid pine T&G with solid pine trims offering 3 berth accommodation. Powered by a Lister Petter 36hp, marine diesel engine with a PRM Delta 20 gearbox.

From the Bow

From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 3 open self draining well deck. There are locker/seats to either side of the well deck. The integral steel water tank is beneath the well deck with surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the front bulkhead.

Generic Fixtures and Fittings

The ceilings and cabin sides are lined with solid pine T & G with pine trims. Hull sides are lined in plywood with Osmo stained cork facing. All interior wood has been varnished to a gloss finish. There are curtains or blinds to all windows. Flooring throughout is cork tiles.

Galley 6ft 6in

Wooden glazed front doors open out on to the well deck with a step down into the compact forward walk through galley. There are custom built units with oak shaker style doors with marble effect laminate worktops.

Base units: 1 x double cupboard. 1 x single cupboard. Fridge housing. Cooker space.

Appliances: Belling slot in gas with separate oven and grill. 240v, Beko fridge with icebox. Morco gas fired water heater. Inset, enamel sink and drainer with monobloc tap.

Spacious mid salon/dinette.

Heating: Chilli Penguin solid fuel stove set on a stone hearth with a tiled surround.

Aft of the bedroom is the trad area where the engine is housed under the floor panels as well as all the electrical hardware for the running of the boat. Steel rear doors, wood panelled internally with sliding roof hatch lead to the rear deck and steering position.

Controls: The single lever engine control is on the port side just inside the stern doors.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Lister Petter 36hp, marine diesel engine with a PRM Delta 20 gearbox with 2: 1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck.
The engine powers a 12v alternator to charge the start battery and the 2 leisure batteries.

WATER
The integral steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located adjacent to the tank. Water is heated by a Morco gas fired water heater.

HEATING
Heating is provided by the Chilli Penguin solid fuel stove in the saloon.

240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
1 x 12v, engine driven alternator.
1 x 12v, 110 amp/hr engine start battery.

EXTERIOR FINISH
The boat was repainted in 2018 by the owner. The boat was last docked for blacking in April 2021. The hull is protected by 4 anodes renewed in 2015.

The boat comes equipped with a normal cruising inventory including a full set of ropes and fenders. Any additional items not listed must be negotiated separately with the owner.
