Imagine, a canal narrowboat of your very own. Perhaps you've tried the holiday and are ready to move to full ownership. You like the idea of lazy days floating along the canals whenever you wish.
Perhaps you're a seasoned boater ready to trade up or you may even be looking for somewhere to live.
Either way, Boat Finder Brokerage makes the process very easy, quick and painless for you. We're boaters too, and have bought boats ourselves so we know what it's like.
So how do we make it easy for you? Try the following:
- A DVD for you to browse in the comfort of your own home which shows all our boats. We take 2-3 hours inspecting and filming each boat so you get a good idea of what to expect if you choose to view a boat, as well as ideas on what you'd like to look for.
- A 7-10 page colour brochure with full specification for each boat. If you see a boat you like on the DVD we'll send you out the full details, once again to review in the comfort of your own home.
- Arranged, accompanied viewings. Having seen the DVD and brochure you know what to expect if you choose to view - and you only view those you really like the look of so you don't waste your time travelling. You also still have the DVD to refer to, just in case you can't remember exactly how large the cupboards were. It's no wonder many of our boats sell on first viewing.
- Professional Services. As a professional broker we always recommend that you have your desired purchase inspected by a marine surveyor, for your own peace of mind. It's a large investment and we want you to be sure it's the right one for you. We will normally ask for a holding deposit so we can take the boat off sale whilst you arrange for a survey, raise finance, etc. This is not compulsory, but we cannot hold the boat for you without it. This money and any final balance is handled through our Client Account, it doesn't go to us or to the vendor until you are ready to finalise the deal. Your deposit will be refunded in full if there is anything on the survey you are not happy with or that cannot be sorted out by re-negotiation. We will also raise formal contracts for you and the vendor to sign and an official bill of sale as your proof of purchase.
- Handholding. We'll stay with you all the way through the purchase process helping you along. We also provide two books on boating benefiting both novices and experienced boaters alike, as well as two months free membership of River Canal Rescue Ltd. Just in case you need it.
- Advance notification. Once we know what you're looking for we'll look for boats that meet your requirements and send you the details before you even know they're for sale. No problem. And just in case you fancy something different from your original requirements bookmark our Latest Arrivals page so you can immediately see the new boats we have to offer.
We cater for all types of boats, whether it's a narrowboat, cruiser, trad or semi-trad, Dutch style, tug or wide beam. We also offer newly-built, sailaways and shells.
