Mistral 2 is a beautiful one-owner narrowboat built by Cuttwater Boats in 2008. She has been well looked after with annual engine services. She benefitted from a full repaint by Street Hay Wharf in 2016 and she was last docked for blacking and new anodes in March 2018. She has a Boat Safety Certificate valid until October 2020. Powered by a Barrus Shire 43hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with Newage PRM 150 D2 hydraulic gearbox. BSSC to July 2020.
From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 3′ 10″ self draining well deck. There is a wooden cratch frame with windows to the front and a vinyl cover. The stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the front of the cratch.
The ceilings, cabin sides and hull sides are lined with solid American light oak plywood panels trimmed with solid American light oak. All interior wood has been varnished. There are curtains or blinds to all windows. Flooring throughout is carpet tiles except to the galley and bathroom which have wood effect vinyl flooring.

Heating is provided by the Stovax solid fuel stove in the saloon and the Eberspacher diesel fired boiler running 4 radiators.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Barrus Shire 45hp, 4 cylinder, marine diesel engine coupled to a PRM 150 D2 hydraulic gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck.
The engine powers twin 12v alternators to charge the start battery and the 3 leisure batteries.
