57ft Cruiser Stern Narrowboat SOLD - £46,995

Toucan Do It is a lovely, well cared for live-aboard spec cruiser stern narrowboat built by Triton Boat Fitters on a John White hull. She was blacked in April 2019, and also had new anodes fitted. The water systems has recently been refreshed with a new pump, accumulator, water filter and galley tap. Mooring available by separate negotiation. Viewing is recommended.


57ft Cruiser style narrow boat. Quality 10/6/5/4mm steelwork by John White with side doors, cratch and cover to the front and a cruiser stern. Powered by a Lombardini 33hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with a PRM 120 D2.5 gearbox. Good quality professional fit-out in light oak by Triton Boat Fitters, offering 4 berth accommodation to a traditional layout.BSSC to April 2020.

From the Bow

From the bow there is a 4′ 8″ self draining well deck with locker/seats to either side. There is a wooden cratch frame with window to the front and a vinyl cover. The water tank is located below the well deck with a surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the front of the cratch.

Generic fixtures and fittings

The ceilings and cabin sides are lined with light oak faced plywood trimmed with solid oak. The hull sides are lined with plywood covered in carpet. All interior wood has been varnished. There are curtains or blinds to all windows. Flooring throughout is carpet except in the galley and bathroom which have tile effect vinyl flooring.

Saloon 12′ 6″

Wooden, 1/2 glazed front doors, open out onto the front deck with a box step down into the saloon.

Fixed Furniture: 1 x half height corner cupboard with built in radio.

Loose Furniture: 1 x leather swivel/recline armchair with matching foot stool. 1 x rocking armchair with matching foot stool. 1 x storage trunk/seat.

Other Features: 21″ flat screen TV with built in DVD player. Blaupunkt CD/radio.

Fixed Furniture: Raised Pullman style dinette with padded bench seats which have storage space below. The dinette converts into a double berth and has a table which extends to the full width of the boat.

Galley 7′ 4″

The walk through galley has custom built units in solid light oak. Worktops are marble effect laminate edged in oak with ceramic tiled splash-backs.

Base units: 1 x double cupboard beneath the sink with a built in wine rack. 1 x double cupboard which extends into the corner. 1 x full height oven and fridge housing with a cupboard above. 1 x small cupboard with two drawers above. Under worktop corner shelves.

Wall Units: Wall mounted shelves.

Appliances: Eye level Vanette GG7000, gas oven with separate oven and grill. Vanette 4000/2 inset four burner gas hob. 12v, Inlander fridge with icebox. Inset, stainless steel sink and drainer with matching monobloc tap and a filtered water tap.

Lighting: 1 x window with top hopper opening vent. 1 x set of steel side doors, wood lined internally. 1 x 12v, fluorescent ceiling light.

Bathroom 5′ 8″ x 4′

The cabin bathroom room has ceramic tiled splash-backs and a white suite comprising:

Shower enclosure with thermostatic shower and a glazed bi-folding door. Vanity unit with inset wash basin and chrome taps. Thetford cassette toilet with one spare cassette. Large wall mounted mirror.

Controls: The single lever column mounted engine control is on the port side.

The 150 gallon polypropylene water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch and accumulator is located adjacent to the tank. Twin coil calorifier heated by the engine heat exchanger, 240v immersion and/or the Webasto diesel fired boiler boiler.

Heating is provided by the Villager solid fuel stove in the saloon and the Webasto diesel fired central heating boiler running 3 radiators.

The exterior had a full repaint in 2012 by the Nantwich Boat Centre. The boat was last docked for blacking in April 2019. The hull is protected by 8 anodes, 4 of these were new in April 2019.

The boat comes equipped with a normal cruising inventory including a full set of ropes and fenders. Any additional items not listed must be negotiated separately with the owner.

The boat is powered by a Lombardini, 33hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with a PRM 120 D2.5 gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers twin 12v alternators to charge the start battery and the 3 leisure batteries.

The current moorings are available by separate negotiation.
