Icovellauna is a compact 40ft 2+2 berth semi-trad stern narrow boat built by Steelcraft Ltd that would suit a buyer looking for a project to make their mark on and has been priced to reflect this. She was last out of the water for blacking in 2015. Beta 38hp, 4 cylinder, marine diesel engine (fitted in 2013, with just 740 hours). The BSSC expires in July 2022. She would make an ideal starter boat being compact and easy to handle. Mooring available by separate negotiation.

Background

Quality 10: 6:4 mm steelwork by Steelcraft Ltd with a semi-trad stern. Cratch and cover to the bow and Pram cover to the Semi-trad deck. Fitted-out by a previous owner in painted ply with wallpapered or painted panels offering 22 berth accommodation. Powered by a Beta 38hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine (fitted in 2013) with Newage PRM hydraulic gearbox and just 740 hours.

From the Bow

From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 37 self draining well deck with locker/seats to either side. There is a aluminium cratch frame with window to the front and a vinyl cover. The water tank is located below the well deck with surface mounted filler.

Generic Fixtures and Fittings

The ceilings are lined with painted ply with painted trims. Cabin sides are lined with either painted ply or papered ply with painted trims. Hull sides are lined with ply covered in carpet. There are blinds or curtains to all windows. The floor is laid with carpet tiles throughout apart from mosaic tiles in the shower room.

Saloon 7ft 10in

Steel glazed, stable style front doors, wood lined internally open out onto the well deck with a removable storage step down into the saloon.

Fixed Furniture: 1 x half height shelving unit.

Loose Furniture: Sofa bed that converts into a double bed.

Heating: Stovax solid fuel stove set on a raised tiled hearth and surround.

Lighting: 1 x fixed window. 1 x window with slide opening. 1 x 12v, LED ceiling light.

Other features: Cello 12v TV with built in DVD.

Power: 3 x 240v sockets. 1 x 12v socket.

Galley 5ft 5in

The walk through galley has custom built units with beech effect laminate doors. Worktops are granite effect laminate with ceramic tiled splash-backs.

Base units: 1 x large cupboard that extends into the corner. Cooker space. Fridge housing with drawer above.

Appliances: Stoves DIT 500 slot in gas cooker with separate oven and grill and a glazed lid/splash-back. 12v, Waeco compact fridge with icebox. Valiant gas fired instant water heater (not currently functional). Inset, round stainless steel sink with chrome monobloc tap.

Lighting: 2 x windows with top hopper openings. 1 x 12v, LED ceiling light.

Shower Room 4ft 10in x 4ft 0in

The cabin shower room has part mosaic tiling to the walls and a white suite comprising:

Suite: Shower cubicle with thermostatic mixer shower and a shower curtain. Vanity unit with inset ceramic wash basin and cupboards beneath. Thetford cassette toilet.

Lighting: 1 x window with top hopper opening and privacy glass. 1 x 12v, LED ceiling light.

Corridor Lighting: 1 x window with top hopper opening.

Bedroom 8ft 0in

Furniture: 4 fixed double bed with storage below. Lift top chest style cabinet. 1 x cupboard. Wall mounted shelf.

Semi-Trad Deck 3ft 4in and Stern 3ft

Steel rear doors, wood lined internally with sliding roof hatch lead to the semi-trad deck where the engine is housed under the floor panels. There are locker/seats to either side of the semi-trad deck. Aft of the semi-trad deck is the rear deck and steering position.

Other Features: Pram cover to the semi-trad deck.

Controls: The single lever engine control is on the port side of the semi-trad deck.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Beta 38hp, 4 cylinder, marine diesel engine (fitted in 2013, with just 740 hours) coupled to a Newage PRM hydraulic gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck.
The engine powers a 12v alternator to charge the start battery and the 2 leisure batteries.

WATER
The Polypropylene water tank is located below the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located adjacent to the tank. Water is heated by the Valiant gas fired water heater in the galley (not functional).

HEATING
Heating is provided by the Stovax solid fuel stove in the saloon.

ELECTRICS
240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
2 x 12v, engine driven alternators.
1 x 12v, engine start batteries.
2 x 12v, deep cycle leisure batteries.
Clarke Smart charge BC210N battery charger.

GAS
2 x Propane cylinders housed in the bow locker, provide gas to the water heater and the slot in cooker.

EXTERIOR FINISH
The exterior paintwork is now in need of some attention, and this is reflected in the price. The boat was last docked for blacking in 2015. The hull is protected by 4 anodes.

The boat comes equipped with a normal cruising inventory including a full set of ropes and fenders. Any additional items not listed must be negotiated separately with the owner.
