Dragonfly was built by the highly regarded Elton Moss Boat Builders in 2006. A former luxury shared narrowboat she has received regular engine servicing and blacking has been completed annually as part of the winter maintenance schedule. Last blacked in December 2021, gunwales repainted in June 2022 and hull survey completed in February 2022 with no recommendations made by the surveyor. She has a Boat Safety Certificate valid until April 2026. Viewing is highly recommended.
58ft Semi-Trad style narrow boat. High quality steelwork with side doors and semi-trad stern with standing deck doors. Classic professional fit-out in by Elton Moss Boatbuilders in oak panel & solid oak, to a traditional lay-out offering up to 6 berth accommodation in a 2 4 layout (Note: Saloon built in sofa, which converts to a double or two single beds, can be easily removed should this be required) Powered by a Beta Marine 43hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with PRM 150 hydraulic gearbox. A Hull survey was completed in February 2022.
From the Bow
From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 4 self draining open well deck. The stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the front cabin top.
Generic Fixtures and Fittings
The ceilings, hull sides and cabin sides are lined with oak faced plywood trimmed with solid oak. All the interior wood has been professionally lacquered. There are curtains or blinds to all windows.
SALOON 12 2
Steel, half glazed front doors, oak panelled internally open out onto the front deck with storage steps down into the saloon.
Fixed Furniture: 2 x full height wardrobes. 1 x half height corner cupboard. 1 x bookcase. 1 x wall mounted display cabinet with glazed door. 1 x fixed sofa bed with high quality padded and upholstered cushions, that converts into a double or two single berths.

SEMI-TRAD DECK & STERN 7 6
Steel rear doors oak panelled with traditional decoration internally and sliding roof hatch lead onto the semi-trad deck where there are access panels to the engine space and quick release weed hatch. There are steel locker/seats to either side of the semi-trad deck. Steel stern doors, wood panelled internally and traditionally decorated lead to the rear deck and steering position.
Controls: The single lever engine control is mounted just inside the stern doors on the port side, as is the bow thruster control panel.
Flooring: Marine ply boards with aluminium anti-slip tread.

Spray foam forms the insulation behind the cabin linings.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Beta 43 hp, 4 cylinder water cooled, marine diesel engine, coupled to a PRM 150 hydraulic gearbox turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out under the side deck.
The engine powers twin alternators to charge the start battery and the 4 leisure batteries.
Vetus 55kgf electric bow-thruster with controls at the stern
The 200 litre stainless steel water tank is located under the front well deck. Water pump with pressure switch and accumulator is housed in the front wardrobe. The twin coil calorifier is heated by the diesel fired central heating boiler and/or the engine heat exchanger.
Heating is provided by the Bubble solid fuel stove in the lounge and the Webasto diesel fired boiler running skirting radiators.
240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
2 x 12v, 110/80 amp/hr engine driven alternators.
1 x 12v, 110 amp/hr engine start battery.

The boat was painted in 2010 using quality coach enamels when built and has been well maintained. The boat was last docked for blacking in Feb 2022 and Gunwales repainted in June 2022. The hull is protected by 4 anodes.

The boat comes equipped with a normal cruising inventory including a full set of ropes and fenders. Any additional items not listed must be negotiated separately with the owner.
