53ft Trad Stern Narrowboat £54,995

Joint Affair is a beautiful 1998 53ft narrow boat, built by respected builder Tim Tyler. She benefits from having had a new Beta Marine engine fitted in 2017 with approximately 2,200 hours. She was last out of the water for blacking in 2019 with 2-pack epoxy. The BSSC expires in April 2025. She would make a lovely, versatile starter boat for cruising holidays, or as a compact live-aboard. Viewing recommended. Moorings are available by separate negotiation.

Stylish 10/6/4/4mm steelwork with side doors and a trad stern by Tim Tyler. Fitted out to a high standard by Valley Cruisers in light oak faced plywood with solid light oak trims offering comfortable 4 berth accommodation. Powered by a Beta Marine 38hp, diesel engine with PRM 150 gearbox.

From the Bow

From the bow which has a steel locker, there is a 4 8 self draining well deck. There is a steel locker/seat across the well deck. The stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler.

Generic Fixtures and Fittings

Cabin sides and ceilings are lined with light oak plywood and trimmed with solid light oak plywood. Hull sides are lined with painted plywood. All interior wood has been sealed and varnished. Flooring throughout is carpet except the bathroom and galley which have tile effect vinyl.

Steel rear doors oak panelled internally with sliding roof hatch lead onto the trad deck where there are access panels to the engine and batteries. Steel stern doors, oak panelled internally lead to the rear deck and steering position.

Controls: The engine control is located on the control tower to the port side.

The boat is powered by a Beta Marine 38hp, 4 cylinder, marine diesel engine coupled to a PRM 150 gearbox with 3: 1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged and vents out from under the side deck.
The engine powers two alternators to charge the start battery and the 4 leisure batteries.

Aquafax bow-thruster with controls at the stern.

The stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water is heated by the engine heat exchanger and boiler.

Central heating is provided by Webasto boiler, powering 4 radiators throughout the boat.
