Poppy is a very well cared for live-aboard boat, with only a 2 owner history. She is of a traditional layout, with a raised Pullman dinette as well as a comfortable sofa bed in the saloon to sleep up to 6 people when guests are joining you. Built to a high specification, including solar panels, LED lights, multi-fuel stove and Eberspacher central heating.

Background

Poppy is a 2003 semi-trad stern narrowboat, expertly built and fitted out by Liverpool Boats. With only two owners, she has been lovingly maintained and offers a cosy and versatile 6-berth layout. The interior features an open plan layout from the U-shaped Galley, through to the Pullman dinette which can be easily transformed into additional sleeping space, and then onto the saloon.

From the Bow

From the bow, you'll find the gas locker and an integral 680-litre water tank, providing ample storage and convenience for extended journeys. The seating on both sides, along with a sturdy, fixed steel table sits between the seats. A set of double doors, framed in wood featuring glass panels, leads into the Saloon.

Generic Fixtures and Fittings

The ceilings, cabin sides and hull sides are lined with oak faced plywood panels trimmed with solid oak. All interior wood has been varnished. There are blinds to the windows and portholes. Flooring is grey carpet throughout apart from the galley which has black and white tiles, and the bathroom which has solid wood.

Saloon 10ft 4in

glazed front doors, open out onto the front deck with steps leading into the saloon:

Furniture: Cabinets and display shelving beneath and either side of the integrated under-gunwale TV unit. A fabric sofa bed.

Heating: An Aarrow Becton Bunny solid fuel stove is situated on a raised hearth.

Lighting: 1x 12v ceiling light, and 4 LED wall lights for added brightness. 2x top opening windows

Dinette 6ft 4in

The Pullman dinette easily converts into a double bed, offering additional berths.

Lighting: 1x ceiling light, along with 2x top-opening windows.

Electrics: 1x Panasonic microwave, situated beneath the dinette seat.

Other Features: Storage beneath the seats, and the floor of the dinette. 1x radiator

Galley 6ft 4in

The U-shaped galley has built in top and bottom units of routered MDF, also a glazed display cupboard between the galley and dinette.

Lighting: 1x 12v ceiling light. 1x Wood lined side hatch. 1x top opening window.

Electrics: Vanette gas oven & grill, and Vanette 4000 gas hob. Under counter 240v Leco Fridge.

Shower Room 6ft 0in

The cabin bathroom has a blue tiled suite comprising:

Suite: The bathroom features a compact yet efficient layout. The corner has a white, wall-mounted, triangular sink with a tiled backsplash. The bathroom also includes a built-in tiled shower with a shower curtain and a LeeSan Sani Marin pump out toilet

Lighting: 1x ceiling light and 1x top opening porthole.

Other Features: 1x heated towel rail.

Bedroom 8ft 0in

From the bathroom the hallway leads into the bedroom:

Furniture: A fixed double bed with overhead storage. 2x floor full length cupboards can be found at the bottom of the bed for additional storage/wardrobe. The extending double bed is completed with a large fabric headboard. Storage beneath along with one of the calorifier.

Lighting: 2x LED reading lights above the bed, 3x top opening portholes and 2x ceiling lights.

Other Features: 1x radiator.

Semi-Trad Deck 4ft 6in and Stern 3ft 4in

From the bedroom, wood-lined double doors lead out to the semi-trad deck, where steps take you onto the deck, which houses the engine beneath lift-up floor panels. The deck also contains the boat's electrics and features seating on either side, along with a single control for easy navigation.

The 680l integral stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. 2x coil calorifiers are located under the bed and in the engine bay.

HEATING
Heating is provided by the Aarow Becton Bunny multi fuel stove in the saloon and the Eberspacher Hydronic D4WSC diesel fired central heating boiler running 3 radiators and a towel rail.

240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
2 x 12v, engine driven alternators.
1 x 12v, engine start battery.
4 x 12v, 135 amp/hr deep cycle leisure batteries (2019).
3kw Victron Low frequency inverter/charger.
2 x roof mounted solar panels providing 680W.
Victron MPPT controller.

EXTERIOR FINISH
The boat was professionally painted in 2003 by Liverpool boats and has since been repainted, she was blacked with 2pack epoxy in March 2021. The hull is protected by 4 anodes replaced in March 2021

The boat comes equipped with a normal cruising inventory including a full set of ropes and fenders. Any additional items not listed must be negotiated separately with the owner.
