Balador is a lovely, well cared for 60ft 8in trad stern boat built by Colecraft in 1984. She has had just two owners, unusual for a boat of her age (the current for 38 years). She has a versatile, family friendly interior allowing for up to 8 berths. She was last out of the water in November 2021 for blacking. The BSSC is valid until December 2028. Moorings are available by separate negotiation.
Background
Quality 6mm/5mm/4mm steelwork by Colecraft with a trad stern and 3 sets of side doors. There is a cratch and cover to the front which is currently not fitted. Over plated to side (excluding swims) and aft 30ft of bottom by Roger Farrington of Ivybridge Marine in 2018. Fit-out in pine T&G with solid pine trims offering 8 berth accommodation to a traditional lay-out with engine room and traditional Boatman's cabin. Powered by a Lister Petter 40hp, 4-cylinder marine diesel engine coupled to a Newage PRM 150 D2 gearbox. Speedwheel and push pull controls.
From the Bow
From the bow which houses the gas locker there is a 4 11 well deck with locker/seats to either side. There is a cratch cover and frame currently not fitted. The integral water tank is located below the well deck with a surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on a mast on the bow.

The ceilings, cabin sides and hull sides are lined with pine T&G with solid pine trims. All interior wood has been varnished. There are curtains or blinds to all windows. Painted marine ply flooring throughout.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Lister Petter 40hp, 4-cylinder diesel engine coupled to a Newage PRM 150 D2 hydraulic gearbox, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out through a chimney in the roof.
The engine powers a 12v alternator to charge the start battery and the 3 leisure batteries.
WATER
The integral steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located adjacent to the tank. The water is heated by a Paloma gas fired water heater (not currently working).
HEATING
Heating is provided by the Bubble solid fuel stove with back boiler in the saloon and the Boatmans Range with back boiler in the Boatmans cabin which are linked and run 5 radiators.

240v from shoreline only.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
1 x 12v, 110 amp/hr engine driven alternator.

EXTERIOR FINISH
The exterior had a repaint in 2015. The boat was last docked for blacking in November 2021. The hull is protected by 12 anodes renewed in 2016.
