Background

This is a beautiful boat, hand crafted by Northwich Boat Company who specialise in producing outstanding quality narrowboats at very competitive prices by building "Standard Layout" boats, giving consistent quality and outstanding value for money. The boat in this example does show a few nice additions such as the TV/DVD unit, Raised Pullman dinette, solid oak flooring, extending master bed, macerator WC, pull out fridge drawer, high level double oven with washing machine housing and granite worktops. From the Bow

From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 3′ 9″ open self draining open well deck, cratch available as an optional extra. There are steel locker/seats to either side of the well deck. The water tank is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the roof.

Generic fixtures and fittings

The ceilings, cabin sides and hull sides are lined with oak faced ply and trimmed with solid oak. All the interior wood has been varnished to a satin finish. There are quality soft furnishings throughout with curtains or blinds to all windows. Flooring throughout is carpet except to the galley and bathroom which has vinyl flooring.

Saloon 10′ 11″

Steel, half glazed front doors, oak panelled internally open out onto the front deck with storage steps down into the saloon. Space for furniture of your choice

Fixed Furniture: 1 x (optional) under gunwale TV cabinet with flat screen TV, DVD player, radio/cd player and storage cupboards. 2 x full height wardrobes either side of the front doors.

Heating: Cast iron solid fuel stove set on a raised hearth with a ceramic tiled surround. 1 x central heating radiator.

Lighting: 2 x Worcester ‘S’ type windows with fully removable glass. 4 x 12v down-lights.

Optional Dinette 6′ 6″

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Canaline 42hp, 4 cylinder, diesel engine coupled to a PRM hydraulic gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers twin 12v alternators to charge the start battery and the 3 leisure batteries.
