45ft Trad Stern Narrowboat £32,500

Rossendale Rose is a handsome well cared for one owner trad stern Doug Moore narrowboat with a full history file (very unusual for a boat of this age). The exterior paintwork was repainted in 2013 by the owners and she was last docked for blacking in April 2016. As such, she represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a good value, well cared for starter boat. Moorings are available by separate negotiation.

From the Bow

From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 5 2 open self draining well deck with locker/seat to the port side. The stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler.

Generic fixtures and fittings

The ceilings, cabin sides and hull sides are lined with oak faced plywood panels trimmed with solid oak. All interior wood has been varnished. There are curtains or blinds to all windows. Flooring throughout is carpet except in the galley and bathroom which have laminate flooring.

Saloon 7'

Fully glazed wooden front doors, open out onto the front deck with storage steps down into the compact saloon.

Fixed Furniture: 1 x half height corner cupboard.

Loose Furniture: 1 x swivel/recline armchair with foot stool.

Heating: Morso solid fuel stove set on a ceramic tiled hearth and surround.

Other Features: 18 Alba flat screen TV with built in DVD player.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a BMC 1.8L marine diesel engine with an Aquadrive 14000 system with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers a 12v alternator to charge the start battery and the 2 leisure batteries.

WATER
The 200 gallon stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located adjacent to the tank. Water is heated by the engine heat exchanger.

HEATING
Heating is provided by the Morso solid fuel stove in the saloon and an electric wall heater in the bedroom.

ELECTRICS
240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
1 x 12v, engine driven alternator.
1 x 12v, engine start battery.
2 x 12v, 135 amp/hr deep cycle leisure batteries.
Victron 1800w inverter.
Battery Management System.

GAS
2 x Propane cylinders housed in the bow locker, provide gas to the Vanette slot in gas cooker.

EXTERIOR FINISH
The exterior was repainted in 2013. The boat was last docked for blacking in April 2016. The hull is protected by 2 anodes.

The boat comes equipped with a normal cruising inventory including a full set of ropes and fenders. Any additional items not listed must be negotiated separately with the owner.
