57ft 6in Trad Stern Narrowboat REDUCED £49,500

We are delighted to offer Emma, a lovely one owner 2004 live-aboard spec 57ft 6in Trad stern built by Calder Valley Marine on a Tim Tyler Hull. She is beautifully presented. She has benefitted from a full repaint in June 2014 by Springwood Haven when she was also last blacked and looks almost new. Notable features include an extra wide rear hatch making her almost a semi-trad, double glazed windows and a new gas hob. Viewing recommended. Lying in W. Yorkshire.

Background

57 6 Trad style narrow boat. Quality 10/6/4mm steelwork by Calder Valley Marine based on a Tim Tyler shell with side doors, a trad stern and taff seats. Professional fit out by Calder Valley Marine in light oak with solid light oak trims, offering 2 + 2 berth accommodation to a traditional lay-out. Powered by a Isuzu 28hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with PRM 120 D2 gearbox.

From the Bow

From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 4 7 self draining well deck with a hardwood cratch frame with windows to the front and a vinyl cover. The stainless steel water tank is below the well deck with a surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the front of the cratch board.

Generic fixtures and fittings

The ceilings, cabin sides and hull sides are lined with oak faced ply trimmed with solid light oak. All interior wood has been varnished. There are curtains or blinds to all windows. The flooring is solid wood planking throughout overlaid with carpet in the saloon and Amtico flooring in the galley and bathroom.

Saloon 14ft 11in

Steel, glazed front doors, wood lined internally open out onto the front deck with storage steps down into the spacious open plan saloon.

Fixed Furniture: 1 x half height corner cabinet with shelves. 2 x full height storage cupboards. Lift up breakfast bar.

Loose Furniture: 2 x easy chairs that convert to single beds (can be pushed together to make a double). 1 x foot stool. Drop leaf table with 2 chairs and 2 stools.

Controls: The single lever engine control is on the port side just inside the stern doors.

WINDOWS, DOORS & HATCHES

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The boat is powered by a Isuzu 28hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with a PRM 120 D2 gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers twin 12v alternators to charge the start battery and the 4 leisure batteries.

WATER

The 120 gallon stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is adjacent to the tank. Twin coil calorifier heated by the engine heat exchanger, 240v emersion and/or the Alde gas fired boiler

HEATING

Heating is provided by the\valour solid fuel stove in the saloon and the Alde gas fired central heating boiler running 3 radiators.

ELECTRICS

240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
2 x 12v, 75 amp/hr engine driven alternators.
1 x 12v, engine start battery.
4 x 12v, 110 amp/hr deep cycle leisure batteries.
Victron Energy Multiplus 3kW combi inverter/charger.
Battery Management System.

GAS

2 x 13kg Propane cylinders housed in the forward locker provide gas to the boiler, oven, grill and hob.
