51ft Trad Stern Narrowboat £49,995

Mia III is a beautifully presented two-owner 51ft trad stern narrowboat by Respected builders Tyler-Wilson, with interior fit out to a high standard by the first owner. The saloon features a comfortable L-shaped dinette that converts to a double bed allowing for 4 berth accommodation. She was last docked for blacking in February 2018 when she also had new anodes. She has a Boat Safety Certificate valid until April 2021, so is good to go. Viewing is highly recommended.

Background

'51ft Trad style narrow boat. Quality 12/10/8/6mm steelwork by Tyler Wilson to a Mike Christian design with side doors and a trad stern. Powered by a Isuzu 38hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with a PRM 150 hydraulic gearbox. High quality first owner fit-out in light American oak with solid light oak trims throughout, giving 2+2 berth accommodation to a traditional layout.

From the Bow

From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 4 7 self draining well deck with locker/seat to port side. The stainless steel water tank is located below the well deck with a surface mounted filler. There is a hardwood cratch frame with windows to the front and a vinyl cover. The headlamp is mounted on the front of the cratch.

Generic fixtures and fittings

The ceilings, cabin sides and hull sides are lined with American light oak faced plywood trimmed with solid light oak. All interior wood has been varnished. There are curtains or blinds to all windows. Flooring throughout is wood effect vinyl except in the bathroom which has ceramic floor tiles.

Saloon 11ft 10in

Steel, half glazed front doors, wood lined internally open out onto the front deck with steps down into the saloon.

Fixed Furniture: 1 x half height corner cupboard with glazed door. L shaped fixed settee/dinette with storage space below. The settee can be used as a dinette or converts into a double berth.

Loose Furniture: 1 x Oak table top with desmo legs. Small drop leaf table with two stools. Freestanding sideboard.

Other Features: Philips flat screen TV, Philips DVD player, Acoustic Solutions stereo consisting of separate radio, CD player and amplifier.

Heating: Bubble solid fuel stove set on a tiled hearth and surround. 1 x central heating radiator.

Controls: The single lever engine control is on the port side just inside the stern doors.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The boat is powered by a Isuzu, 38hp 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with a PRM 150 gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers twin 12v alternators to charge the start battery and the 4 leisure batteries.

WATER

The 120 gallon stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located adjacent to the tank. Twin coil calorifier heated by the engine heat exchanger, 240v emersion and/or the Hurricane diesel fired central heating boiler.

HEATING

Heating is provided by the Bubble solid fuel stove in the saloon and the Hurricane diesel fired central heating boiler running 4 radiators.

12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
