SOLD 58ft Cruiser Stern Narrowboat REDUCED £36,000

Silver Swan is a 58ft cruiser stern boat from a recognised builder that was originally commissioned as a hire boat for Anglo Welsh. She has been well maintained by her current owners who have undertaken a series of improvements to her including a repaint of the interior and the fitment of LED lights throughout. She was last out of the water in December 2016 when a hull survey was carried out and she was also blacked. Lying in Staffordshire.


58ft Cruiser style narrowboat. Quality 8/6/4 steelwork with cruiser stern and Taff rail by Harborough. Original fit-out by Harborough, in painted ply with solid light oak trims throughout. Powered by a 42hp Isuzu, 4 cylinder diesel engine with PRM 150 gearbox. She represents an excellent opportunity to acquire a good value starter boat that would be well suited for either holidays or live aboard use. Moorings are available by separate negotiation. From the Bow

From the bow is the 4′ 3″ self draining well deck. There is a steel locker/seat the front of the well deck and two fixed seats either side of the front doors. The water tank is beneath the well deck and has a surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the front bulkhead.

Generic fixtures and fittings

The ceilings, hull sides and cabin sides are lined with painted plywood trimmed with solid light oak. All interior wood has been varnished. There are curtains or blinds to all windows. Flooring throughout is grey wood effect laminate throughout.

Saloon 9′ 8″

Steel front doors, wood lined internally open out onto the front deck with storage steps down into the saloon.

Fixed Furniture: 1 x half height corner cabinet with built in CD/radio player.

Loose Furniture: Oak table top with desmo leg.

Heating: Villager solid fuel stove set on a tiled hearth and surround. 1 x central heating radiators.

The cleverly arranged bathroom has a bath cubicle and toilet compartment that combine to form a walk through bathroom when the doors are closed.

The separate vanity area to the aft of the cabin has a full height wardrobe, storage drawers and a vanity unit with inset sink .

From the rear cabin a steel rear door, wood lined internally leads out to the cruiser deck and steering position. The engine is housed beneath lift up floor panels.

The 100 gallon stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located adjacent to the tank. Twin coil calorifier is heated by the Alde gas fired boiler and/or the engine heat exchanger.

Heating is provided by the solid fuel stove in the saloon and the Alde gas fired boiler running 3 radiators.

The boat was professionally painted when built. The boat was last docked for blacking in December 2016. The hull is protected by 4 anodes.

The boat comes equipped with the normal cruising inventory including ropes and fenders. Any additional items not listed must be negotiated separately with the owners.

The boat is powered by a 38hp Beta Marine (fitted in 2005), 4 cylinder, water cooled, diesel engine with PRM 150 D2 hydraulic gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out under the side deck. The engine powers a 12v alternator to charge the start battery and 3 leisure batteries.

4 x 13kg propane cylinders housed in the stern locker supply gas to the Boiler and the cooker.

Quality steelwork with cruiser stern, oak fit-out to a traditional lay out by Harborough.
