50ft Cruiser stern Narrowboat £57,500

Tamarind is a beautifully presented one owner narrow boat that has been maintained with care and is presented with a full history file. She is ideally suited to extended cruising or as a compact live-aboard for two. She has a cratch and cover to the front that was renewed in 2017 and a dodger to the rear cruiser deck. There is also a tonneau cover for the rear deck and additional covers for the controls, the side doors and the front door. Lying in Cheshire.

Modern professional fit-out in oak faced ply with solid oak trims by Wedgewood Narrowboats of Middlewich offering 2 + 2 berth accommodation to a reverse lay-out. Powered by a Isuzu 42hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with Newage PRM 150 D2 gearbox.

From the Bow

From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 3’ 9” self draining well deck. There are steel locker/seats to either side of the well deck. The cratch has a window to the front and a vinyl cover (new in 2017). The stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the front of the cratch.

Generic fixtures and fittings

The ceilings, cabin sides and hull sides are lined with oak faced plywood with solid oak trims. There are blinds or curtains to all windows. All interior wood has been varnished. There are blinds or curtains to all windows. Flooring throughout is solid oak planks.

Bedroom 9ft 3in

Steel half glazed front doors, wood lined internally open out onto the front deck with storage steps down into the bedroom.

Cruiser Deck and Stern 6ft 10in

Steel rear doors, wood panelled internally with sliding roof hatch lead to the cruiser deck steering position. The engine is housed under the lift up floor panels. There are steel locker/seats to either side of the rear doors.

Controls: The column mounted single lever engine control is on the port side.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The boat is powered by a Isuzu 42hp, 4 cylinder, marine diesel engine coupled to a PRM 150 D2 hydraulic gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers twin 12v alternators to charge the start battery and the 4 leisure batteries.

WATER

The 450 litre stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located in the front wardrobe. Twin coil calorifier is heated by the Webasto diesel fired boiler, and/or the engine heat exchanger.

HEATING

Heating is provided by the Stovax solid fuel stove in the saloon and the Webasto diesel fired boiler running 5 radiators.

240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
2 x 12v, 110/90 amp/hr engine driven alternators.
1 x 12v, 96 amp/hr engine start battery.
4 x 12v, 110 amp/hr deep cycle leisure batteries.
Sterling 1800w inverter.
Sterling Prosport 8 charger.
3 x 60w flexible Solar Panels.

GAS
2 x 13kg Propane cylinders housed in the stern lockers, provide gas to the cooker.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS OF INVENTORY

EXTERIOR FINISH
The boat was professionally painted when built using quality coach enamels and has been well maintained. The boat was last docked for blacking in July 2014. The hull is protected by 4 anodes and a galvanic isolator.
