Hunters Quay is a handsome 1982 cruiser stern narrowboat by Stoke-on-Trent Boatbuilders. She has had a full back to bare steel repaint by Trent Valley Marine and has a Boat Safety Certificate valid until November 2022. She was last out of the water for blacking in October 2018 when she was also subject to a hull survey. As such she would make an ideal starter boat. Mooring available by separate negotiation. 53ft Cruiser stern narrow boat. Quality 8/6/4mm steelwork with cruiser stern by Stoke-on-Trent Boatbuilders. The base plate has been recently over-plated, with the over-plating continuing up the hull sides to the rubbing strakes. Original fit-out by Stoke-on-Trent Boatbuilders in pine T&G and marine ply with solid wood trims, the interior woodwork has been painted white throughout and offers comfortable 2 berth accommodation easily increased to 4 berth with the addition of a sofa bed. Powered by a BMC 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with a PRM 160 gearbox. BSSC to November 2022.
From the bow which holds the integral steel water tank, there is a 4’ open, self draining well deck with locker/seat to the front. The headlamp is mounted on the front bulkhead.
The ceilings and cabin sides are lined with painted tongue and groove trimmed with solid wood. The hull sides are lined with painted marine plywood. There are blinds or curtains to all windows. Flooring throughout is wood effect laminate except in the bathroom which has solid pine planking.
Wooden, ½ glazed front doors, open out onto the front deck with steps down into the spacious open plan saloon. There is under deck storage space accessed behind the steps.

Heating is provided by the solid fuel stove in the saloon and the Webasto diesel fired central heating boiler running 2 radiators.

The boat had a professional back to bare metal full exterior repaint in 2018. The boat was last docked for blacking in October 2018 and the hull is protected by 4 anodes renewed in October 2018 and a galvanic isolator.

The boat comes equipped with a normal cruising inventory including a full set of ropes and fenders. Any additional items not listed must be negotiated separately with the owner.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a BMC 1.5 litre, 4 cylinder, marine diesel engine coupled to a PRM 160 hydraulic gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers a 12v alternator to charge the start battery and the 2 leisure batteries.
