57ft Cruiser Stern Narrowboat £49,995

Merdeka is a well designed and equipped live-aboard spec cruiser stern narrowboat built by Triton Boat Fitters on a John White hull. She has been well maintained with annual services and benefitted from a recent full exterior repaint in 2018. She was blacked in November 2017, and also had new leisure batteries in July 2017. Mooring available by separate negotiation. Viewing is recommended.

57ft Cruiser style narrow boat. Quality steelwork by John White. Very well planned fit-out in Oak by Triton Boat Fitters. Powered by a 42 hp Vetus marine diesel engine.BSSC to Sept 2021.

From the Bow

From the bow there is a 4′ 6″ self draining well deck with glazed, painted cratch frame and a zipped and studded vinyl cover. There are steel lockers/seats to either side of the well deck. The 550 litre stainless steel water tank is housed under the well deck with a surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the front of the cratch frame.

Generic fixtures and fittings

Ceilings are lined with solid Oak tongue and groove. Hull sides are lined with carpet in the lounge and Oak tongue and groove to the rear of the boat. Cabin sides are lined in Oak veneered plywood. Fixed furniture and doors have been constructed from Oak veneered MDF. All interior wood has been sealed. There are curtains or blinds to all windows. Light Oak floors throughout.

Lounge 10′ 8″

Steel front doors, 2/3 glazed and wood lined internally open onto the front deck with a storage step leading down into the large open plan lounge.

Fixed Furniture: 2 x full height wardrobes. Corner cabinet. Adjacent bookcase.

Loose Furniture: 2 x recline/swivel armchairs with matching footstools.

Heating: Villager, Multi-fuel, cast iron stove set on a tiled hearth and surround. 1 x central heating radiator with shelf over.

Other Features: Wall mounted flat screen 12v Cello TV. Pioneer CD/ Radio/USB player.

Lighting: 2 x large windows with top hopper style opening vents. 4 x 12v, LED down-lights.

Power: 3 x 240v sockets. 2 x TV aerial points.

Dinette 6′ 4″

Fixed Furniture: Pullman style raised dinette with padded bench seats. There is storage area beneath the seats and the dinette converts to 6′ 3″ double berth.

Loose Furniture: Solid oak table top with desmo leg.

Lighting: 2 x large top hopper windows. 4 x 12v LED ceiling lights.

Galley 8′

The custom built galley has panelled door and drawer fronts with high gloss granite effect melamine worktops edged in Oak.

Base Units: 2 x double cupboards, that extend into the corners. 1 x 4 drawer unit. 1 x single cupboard. Integral wine rack. Full height unit housing the oven, fridge/freezer and microwave.

Wall units: 1 x wall cupboard.

Appliances: Vanette GG7000 eye level gas oven and grill. Vanette 4000/2, inset 4 burner gas hob with glass lid/splash-back. Coolzone fridge/freezer. Midea microwave. Inset, round stainless steel sink with chrome monobloc mixer tap.

Light: 1 x large window with top hopper style opening vent. 1 x set of steel side doors, wood panelled internally. 1 x Houdini hatch. 4 x 12v, LED down-lights.

Heating: 1 x central heating radiator.

Shower room 6′ x 4′

The cabin shower room has half height ceramic tiling to the splash-back area and a white suite comprising:

Suite: Marble effect laminate lined shower enclosure with glazed bi-folding door, shower attachment and chrome mixer tap. Vanity unit with inset wash basin, chrome taps and a large cupboard beneath. Thetrford electric flush cassette toilet with spare cassette.

Light: 1 x porthole with a top hopper style opening vent and privacy glass and a further porthole in the corridor. 1 x 12v, ceiling mounted, LED light. Ceiling mounted fan.

Heating: 1 x central heating radiator in the corridor.

Storage: Cupboard and shelves beside the shower.

Bedroom 11′

Furniture: Across the boat 5′ wide double bed with 3 large storage drawers beneath. 2 x beside cabinets with drawers and shelves. Large full-height wardrobe. Over-bed cupboards. Cupboard housing Indesit washer/ dryer with storage shelves above.

Light: 2 x portholes with top hopper style openings. 6 x 12v, LED down-lights. 2 x 12v, over bed spot-lights.

Heating: 1 x central heating radiator.

Power: 3 x 240v sockets. 1 x TV aerial point.

Cruiser deck & Stern 7′ 5″

A hardwood rear door with steel sliding roof hatch leads to the cruiser deck and steering position. The engine is accessed via lift-up deck board. The deck boards are Bison board with anti slip deck tread.

Controls: The column mounted single lever engine control is located on the port side.

Other Features: Collapsible pram cover and cushioned seating to the stern. Free standing stool for use when cruising.

Port: 3 x brass anodised aluminium framed windows with top hopper style opening vents. 2 x brass anodised aluminium framed portholes with top hopper openings.
Starboard: 1 x brass anodised aluminium framed window with top hopper style opening vent. 2 x brass anodised aluminium framed portholes with top hopper openings. 1 x set of steel side doors, wood Panelled internally.
Front: Steel hatch on bow locker. Steel front doors, 2/3 glazed and wood lined internally.
Rear: Hardwood rear door with steel sliding roof hatch.

WATER
550 litre stainless steel water tank housed beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch and accumulator housed in the bow locker. 14 gallon, twin coil calorifier heated by the Eberspacher diesel fired central heating boiler and/or the engine􀀂s heat exchanger. Calorifier replaced in 2012.

HEATING
Heating is provided by the Villager Multi-fuel stove in the lounge and the Eberspacher diesel fired boiler running 4 radiators.

EXTERIOR FINISH
The boat was painted in quality coach enamels when built and is in excellent condition. Last docked for hull blacking in November 2017. The hull is protected by 4 sacrificial anodes.

ADDITIONAL ITEMS OF INVENTORY
The boat comes equipped with the normal cruising inventory including ropes and fenders. An anchor and chain is also included. Any additional items not listed must be negotiated separately with the owners.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Vetus 42hp, 4 cylinder, water cooled, marine diesel engine with TMC gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers a 14v alternator to charge the start battery and 3 leisure batteries.

GAS
2 x 13kg Propane cylinders with manual change-over, housed in the stern locker, provide gas to the oven, grill and hob.

Quality steelwork by John White. Professional fit-out in Oak by Triton Boat Fitters. Both are respected names in the leisure market.

BOW-THRUSTER
Electric Bow-thruster with stern controls (not currently connected).

MOORING INFORMATION
