52ft Trad style Tug. Quality 12/8/5mm steelwork by John White with a tug deck featuring a “Potter’s Cabin”, 3 sets of side doors with top hatches, recessed rear panels and a trad stern. Partially fitted-out to a high standard by the current owner in oak faced ply, with New Zealand Kauri wood planks to the engine room and a partially fitted Boatman’s cabin. Powered by a 1953 Kelvin J3 11hp, 3 cylinder diesel engine with matching period Kelvin gearbox. Speedwheel and push pull controls. BSSC to December 2020. From the bow which holds the gas locker there is a 15′ 10″ deck featuring a Potters cabin. The stainless steel water tanks are located in the bow with a surface mounted filler.
The ceilings, cabin sides and hull sides are lined with oak faced plywood except in the bathroom which has waterproof laminate and the engine room which is lined with New Zealand Kauri wood planks.
A “Potter’s Cabin” below the tug deck currently provides a forward storage area that includes the two stainless steel water tanks. This area could also be fitted out as a double bedroom.

Webasto diesel fired boiler and the 240v emersion when
wired up.
HEATING
Heating is provided by the Stovax solid fuel stove in the
saloon, the Webasto diesel fired boiler running 3 radiators
and the Premier Boatman‘s Range in the Boatman‘s cabin.
A back boiler is available to be fitted to the Stovax stove if
required.

EXTERIOR FINISH
The boat had a full repaint in May 2019. The boat was last
docked for blacking in September 2017. The hull is
protected by 6 anodes renewed in 2017 and a galvanic
isolator.
ADDITIONAL ITEMS OF INVENTORY
The boat comes equipped with a normal cruising inventory
including a full set of ropes and fenders. Any additional
items not listed must be negotiated separately with the
owner.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a 1953 Kelvin J3 11hp, 3 cylinder
diesel engine with matching period Kelvin gearbox with 1:1
reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged,
silenced and vents out through a chimney in the roof.
The engine powers a 12/24v dynamo to charge the 2 start
batteries and the 2 leisure batteries.
