Armstrong is a fabulous, live-aboard spec narrowboat from the respected Boating Leisure Services using a Tyler Wilon shell and offering 4 berth accommodation. She was the 2018 Crick Show boat and also featured in an issue of Waterways World magazine that year. She was last out of the water for blacking in June 2022. Background

Stylish 10/6/5/4mm steelwork with two sets of side doors and a semi-trad stern by Tyler Wilson. Cratch and cover to the bow and pram cover to the stern. Beautiful, high quality professional fit-out by Boating Leisure Services in painted solid oak T&G with light oak faced ply with solid light oak trims offering comfortable 4 berth accommodation to a reverse lay-out. Powered by a Beta Marine 43hp, 4 cylinder marine diesel engine with PRM 150 D2 hydraulic gearbox. Vetus 65kgf bow-thruster.

From the Bow

From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 5 5 self-draining well deck with locker seat to the front. There is a wooden cratch frame with window to the front and a vinyl cover with clear panels. There is a 24v LED bulkhead light to the well deck. The stainless-steel water tank is below the well deck with surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the front of the cratch.

Generic Fixtures and Fittings

The ceilings and cabin sides are lined with painted solid oak T&G with solid light oak trims. Hull sides are lined with light oak faced ply with solid light ok trims. All interior wood has been painted or varnished. There are blinds to all windows. Flooring is wood effect Amtico to the galley and saloon, tile effect Amtico to the bathroom and carpet to the bedroom.

Bedroom 10ft 4in

Steel ⅔ glazed front doors, wood lined internally with inner screen open out onto the front deck with storage steps down into the bedroom.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Beta Marine 43hp, 4 cylinder, marine diesel engine coupled to a PRM 150 D2 hydraulic gearbox with 2: 1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck.
The engine powers 2 x 12v alternators to charge the start battery and the 6 leisure batteries.

BOW-THRUSTER
Vetus 65kgf electric bow-thruster with controls at the stern.

WATER
The 134 gallon stainless steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located adjacent to the tank. Twin coil calorifier is heated by the Eberspacher diesel fired boiler, 240v emersion heater and/or the engine heat exchanger.

HEATING
Heating is provided by the solid fuel stove in the saloon and the Eberspacher diesel fired boiler running 6 radiators.

240v circuit from landline with RCD.
24v lights throughout protected by fuses.
2 x 12v, 100/45amp/hr engine driven alternators.
1 x 12v, engine start battery.
6 x 12v, 130amp/hr deep cycle leisure batteries.
