A rare opportunity to buy a brand-new fully painted sailaway narrowboat built by The Northwich Boat Company, lined in a modern grey and white panel. She is built to accommodate a reverse layout and has the popular square back cruiser stern. She comes with a 38hp Canaline engine coupled to a PRM 125 gearbox, stainless steel water tank and starter battery.

Background

Brand New 57ft Square Back Cruiser Stern Lined Sailaway Narrowboat. Quality steelwork with side doors and a square back cruiser stern with raised rear skirt and a seat welded into the skirt.

From the Bow

From the bow which holds the steel storage locker, there is a 3 8 open self draining well deck. The water tank is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler. The headlamp is mounted on the front bulkhead.

Interior 42ft

Steel, glazed front doors, steel rear doors and 2 wide steel side doors.
Sprayfoam insulation, bitumen, concrete slab ballast and 18mm treated plywood board to the floor. The flooring includes a 4 strip either side of the boat to allow the floor to be lifted after the hull lining has been fitted.
Chrome top opening (drop back) windows and portholes.
Lined internally with grey and white melamine panels and solid oak trims, including mushroom vent liners, window and door liners. Two full height bulkheads, to allow for a reverse layout with walk through bathroom

Enhanced Square Cruiser Deck & Stern 7 4

Steel rear doors with sliding roof hatch lead onto the cruiser deck and steering position. There are lift up access panels to the engine and batteries. Lockers to either side of the rear doors.

Controls: The single lever engine control is on the port on a control tower.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a 38hp Canaline, 4 cylinder, water cooled, marine diesel engine coupled to a PRM 125 D2 gearbox with 2: 1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers twin 12v alternators to charge the start battery.

The 300 litre stainless steel water tank is housed beneath the well deck.

EXTERIOR FINISH
The boat has been professionally fully painted in an attractive grey, white and cream colour scheme. The hull was blacked when new and is protected by 4 anodes.
