Blanche 2 is a beautiful 1992 three-owner tug style narrow boat with beautiful lines, a boatman's cabin and a Russel Newbery in a separate engine room. She has been maintained with care and looks like a much younger boat. There is a cratch and cover to the front, with a solid brass headlamp. The BSSC expires in November 2025, and she was last blacked in May 2024. Viewing is highly recommended. Moorings are available by separate negotiation.
Background
Stylish 10/6/5/4 mm steelwork by Stowe Hill Marine with four sets of steel side doors, a Houdini hatch, cratch cover and a trad stern. Outstanding fit-out by Stowe Hill offering comfortable 6 berth accommodation in oak with oak faced ply and solid oak trims. The traditional style boatmans cabin is painted with Roses and Castles. Powered by a 18hp 2-cylinder engine coupled to an PRM 260 D2 hydraulic gearbox. Traditional speed wheel and push pull controls.
From the Bow
From the bow which houses the gas locker there is a 6 well deck with a hard wood cratch frame with windows to the front and a vinyl cover. The integral steel water tank is located below the well deck with a surface mounted filler. The brass headlamp is mounted on a mast on the bow.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Russell Newbery DM2 18hp 2-cylinder engine with a Newage PRM 260 D2 hydraulic gearbox and push rod controls. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out through a chimney in the roof.
The engine powers a Victron battery management system and the 4 leisure batteries.
WATER
The 150 gallon integral steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located adjacent to the tank. Twin coil calorifier is heated by the Eberspacher diesel boiler via four finrads.
HEATING
Central heating is provided by the Eberspacher diesel boiler, there are also 2 solid fuel stoves found in the saloon and boatmans cabin.

240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
1 x 12v, engine driven alternator.
