Background

Elton Moss Boatbuilders are a highly reputable builder of bespoke boats and can therefore also build to your own specification. Book your build slot NOW. Average build time is 12 - 16 weeks. Please note, the boat in this example does show a few nice additions that will be optional extras on future builds, eg; the Pullman dinette, domestic washer/dryer, TVs in the bedroom and lounge, DVD player in the lounge, hardwood cratch frame and fitted vinyl cover. From the Bow

From the bow which has a steel locker, there is a 4′ self draining well deck. The hardwood glazed cratch frame and a zipped and studded vinyl cover are an optional extra. There are steel locker/seats to either side of the well deck. The water tank is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler.

Generic fixtures and fittings

Cabin sides and ceilings are lined with painted ply and trimmed with solid Oak. Hull sides are lined with light Oak veneered ply and trimmed with solid Oak. All interior wood has been sealed and varnished. Flooring throughout is Oak effect laminate except to the bathroom which has vinyl.

Bedroom 10′

Steel front doors, 1/2 glazed and oak panelled internally, open out onto the front deck with storage steps leading down into the bedroom.

Furniture: 6′ 3″ x 4′ fixed double bed (optional pull-out extension available to make the bed 4′ 6″ wide), with storage space beneath. 1 x full height wardrobe. 2 x full height cupboard with shelves. Large cupboard with space, plumbing & electrics for a domestic sized washer/dryer, (optional extra). High over-bed shelf with spotlights.

Light: 2 x Worcester ‘S’ type portholes. 5 x 12v, down-lights. 2 x 12v, over-bed spot-lights. Feature lights to the front steps.

Optional raised, Pullman style dinette with high quality upholstered bench style seats with storage space beneath. Oak table top with folding legs. The dinette converts into a double bed. An L-shaped dinette can also be specified.

Semi-trad deck 4′ 7″ & Stern 3′ 9″ (Other sterns types available)

A set of steel rear doors wood panelled internally with steel sliding roof hatch, lead from the galley to the semi-trad deck area where the engine is housed under the deck panels. A further set of panelled and decorated steel stern doors close off the stern deck. There are steel locker/seats to either side of the semi-trad deck, one of these houses the gas bottle.

Controls: The single lever engine control is located on the port side.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Powered by a Canaline 42 hp, 4 cylinder, marine diesel engine coupled to a hydraulic PRM gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers twin 12v alternators to charge the start battery and the five leisure batteries.
