Background

This is a beautiful boat, hand crafted by Northwich Boat Company who specialise in producing outstanding quality narrowboats at very competitive prices by building “Standard Layout” boats, giving consistent quality and outstanding value for money. The boat shown does show a few nice additions such as the L-shaped dinette, macerating pump-out toilet and extending 4ft 6in bed.

From the Bow

From the bow which holds the gas locker, there is a 4ft self draining well deck. The water tank is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler.

Generic fixtures and fittings

The ceilings, cabin sides and hull sides are lined in oak faced ply and trimmed with solid oak (painted panels are an optional extra). All the interior wood has been varnished to a satin finish. Flooring throughout is carpet except to the bathroom and galley which have vinyl (Laminate or solid wood flooring are optional extras).

Saloon 10′ 8″

Steel, half glazed front doors, oak panelled internally open out onto the front deck with storage steps down into the saloon.

The standard open plan saloon has plenty of space for loose furniture of your choice – optional dinette shown.

Fixed Furniture: 1 x half height corner cabinet. 1 x bookcase.

Heating: Cast iron solid fuel stove set on a raised hearth with a ceramic tiled surround.

Optional Dinette 6′ 3″

Optional ‘L’ shaped (or Pullman dinette - not shown) with sloping backs for added comfort and high quality padded and upholstered cushions. Oak table top with folding legs.

The dinette converts into a double bed and has storage space beneath the seats.

The galley has custom built units with oak panelled door and drawer fronts. Worktops are laminate edged in oak with a standard laminate splash-back (optional ceramic tile splash-back shown).

Base units: 1 x large cupboard beneath the sink that extends into both corners and has drawers above. Fridge housing with matching door. Cooker space.

Wall Cupboards: 1 x glazed cupboard. 1 x locker style cupboard. 1 x small cupboard.

Appliances: Slot in gas cooker with separate oven and grill and a glazed lid/splash-back. Stainless steel, inset sink and drainer with chrome monobloc tap.

Controls: The column mounted single lever engine control is on the port side. The control panel is mounted just inside the rear doors on the port side.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Canaline Marine 38 hp or 42hp, 4 cylinder, diesel engine coupled to a PRM 120 or PRM 150 gearbox with 2:1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck. The engine powers twin 12v alternators to charge the starter battery and the 3 leisure batteries.
