36ft Cruiser Stern Narrowboat £29,995
Ben is a well-loved 36ft, narrowboat, built in 1997 that has benefitted from a series of upgrades with the current owners. This includes an updated electrical system, new fridge/freezer and an interior refresh. He was last out of the water for blacking and new anodes in March 2025. The BSSC expires in December 2028. A hull survey from March 2025 is also available. With the interior and hull in good order, the exterior paintwork is now in need of a refresh.
Background
Quality steelwork believed to be 6: 5:3mm by Dave Clarke Boats with a cruiser stern. Cratch and cover to the bow. Good quality interior fit by the builder that has been added to by subsequent owners in pine T&G with solid pine trims offering 3 berth accommodation. Powered by a Beta Marine 38hp, 4 cylinder diesel engine with a PRM mechanical gearbox.
From the Bow
From the bow there is a 3ft 8in self draining well deck with wooden cratch frame with vinyl cover. The integral steel water tank is located beneath the well deck with a surface mounted filler.
Generic Fixtures and Fittings
The ceilings and cabin sides are lined with solid pine T&G with solid pine trims. The hull sides are lined with carpet. There are curtains or blinds to all windows. The floor is laid with vinyl throughout apart from the saloon which has carpet and the dinette which has wood effect laminate.

Wooden fully glazed front doors open out onto the front deck with a storage step down into the saloon.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The boat is powered by a Beta Marine 38hp, 4-cylinder diesel engine with PRM mechanical gearbox with 2: 1 reduction, turning the propeller. The exhaust is lagged, silenced and vents out from under the side deck.
The engine powers a 12v alternator to charge the start battery and the 2 leisure batteries.
WATER
The integral steel water tank is located beneath the well deck. Water pump with pressure switch is located adjacent to the tank. Water is heated by the engine heat exchanger.
HEATING
Heating is provided two Thermix gas fired heaters.

240v circuit from landline with RCD.
12v lights throughout protected by fuses.
